Again we see that the originator of this Sant Sampraday himself talks about Brahman even in Gurbani.

Here ਰਾਮੈ is Rama and not just lord. Kabir died chanting the name of Rama DESPITE him not finding any result of penances done in holy cities in his previous birth. Another example to show how much Kabir valued personal devotion to Rama in his own NIRGUN style.

Bhakti movement began in South (Tamil Nadu to be precise) and slowly spread to Northern parts of India.
